Request deletion by email
If you no longer have access to the app, email support@carpool1.com from the email tied to your account, with the subject "Delete my account." Requests are actioned within 7 days.
What is deleted
Your profile (name, avatar, gender, birth year, preferences, verifications)
Saved places (home, work, custom locations)
Routes you have posted
Chat messages you have sent
Carpool requests where you are the rider or driver
Community memberships
Blocks and trust relationships you created
Push notification tokens
Authentication record (email, login history)
What is kept (and for how long)
Aggregate analytics with no personal identifiers — kept indefinitely.
Database backups may retain your data for up to 30 days before being permanently overwritten on a rolling schedule.
If you exchanged messages with another user, the other user's copy of those messages may remain visible to them.
Records required for fraud prevention, legal compliance, or dispute resolution may be retained for up to 12 months.
